Heather Bruce, an acupuncturist, naturopath, herbalist counsellor and author has been working in the local area for the past 15 years.
She has also been an acupuncturist in Brisbane for over 30 years, also writing and delivering acupuncture courses, teaching all levels of professional healers. She is also a helpful guide through most lfe transitions - especialy when the more orthodox systems seem not to provide what is needed.
Heather's mix of Chinese medicine/acupuncture mixed with naturopathy - and placed in the context of the modern world is often all you need to turn your life around. Whether it is because you wish to get off medications and actually HEAL what is ailing you, or whether it is a physical pain, or a desire to be different - including becoming a parent- Heather is likely after all her years in serving Brisbane people - to have, if not the answer, an idea of what you could do next.
She aims to offer far more than the usual fee for service treatment - but wants to also provide patient-focussed health services for those whose needs are not being addressed through the conventional medical channels.

Heather has been an acupuncturist/ naturopath/ herbalist/ lifestyle counsellor since 1979, when she opened her first practice in the inner Brisbane city. She was admitted as a Member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association Ltd (AACMA) in 1979 and became a Fellow in 1996.
Her key interests are in all levels of health and well-being, especially in exploring the nature of disease, and its contribution to our life tapestry. She is most known for her work in sub-fertility, birthing and general women's health issues. She is especially helpful when nothing else seems to be working and if you are overwhelmed with desperation. Besides Heather's length of experience in being a healer and teacher of acupuncturists, she has travelled similar paths to all who are currently feeling so helpless - as a woman and a mother - as she has spent so long as a seeker of truth for her own children.
Her daughter being born massively brain injured and highly austistic meant that Heather got to live through challenges and how to gracefully meet them. She knows that when you are told something is 'hopeless' it is so often a matter of just breathing/accepting/not reacting/or of crashing in a heap - and trusting that answers will arrive. Life seems to have helpers - if you can only undo your beliefs and judgements and stay open to possiblities. Heather can also help you to find more within yourself - and make different sense of your life journeys.
